Agentic Procedure Editing, Richer Procedures from Video, and Everything Else We Shipped in April

Nina Stepanov
Product Marketing Lead

April was no joke at Squint. Even with a week-long hackathon at our San Francisco HQ, the team still managed to ship a slew of exciting new features. Read on to see the many upgrades shipped and a number of product improvements that make the day-to-day smoother on the floor and in the field.

Procedure generation: more control, smarter videos

Tailor every generated procedure to your team's standards

Generate procedures customized to your standards and structured for how your operators actually work. Agentic procedure editing is a new way to direct how Squint generates procedures, with instructions like:

Use the same maintenance video to create a quick checklist for an experienced tech or a step-by-step training guide for a new hire. With agentic procedure editing, every procedure is customized and generated with your operators in mind.

Available now in document-based procedure generation. Talk to your Squint partner to turn it on for video.

Get even richer procedures from your videos in one shot

Squint now uses on-screen action alongside voiceover narration to capture every single detail of a procedure.

Before, Squint relied on transcripts from videos, but now it actually watches the work and listens to it in your videos. Procedure generation now picks up steps from what's happening in the frame as well as what gets said. A loud environment or a skipped voiceover doesn't keep you from generating complete work instructions, and what the operator doesn't say out loud – the PPE they're wearing, the tools they reach for – gets captured too.

Talk to your Squint partner to turn this capability on for your team.

Stand up a library of procedures faster

Knock out a batch of procedures in one go instead of one at a time. You can now upload up to 10 documents at once and generate 10 individual procedures from them, an extension of document-based procedure generation which shipped last month.

And a few more things

Copilot digs deeper and faster for better answers

Operators get to answers faster, even when they're buried hundreds of pages deep in a manual. Copilot is now sharper on multi-step troubleshooting questions and handles long, dense documents like 300+ page maintenance manuals or OEM PDFs full of schematics.

Dark mode is finally here

Dark mode has landed on mobile by popular demand, built for third-shift operators on the floor and field techs working in low-light environments.

Procedure videos play instantly, even on patchy wifi

Tap a procedure video and it starts playing right away. No waiting for the full download. Saves time and data on the floor and in the field.

Find the right workspace faster

Many of our customers operate Squint across dozens of sites and business units. The workspace selector now lets you search by name, so authors and admins land on the right workspace in fewer clicks.
