The Squint team is thrilled to welcome Allyson Aberg as our latest Software Engineer! Allyson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team, including expertise in firmware, mobile, and web development. We are excited to see her contributions to both the Squint mobile product and our upcoming web product (more on this later). Allyson has a unique talent for creating software that is both functional and visually appealing, and we are confident that she will help us raise the bar for the Squint products on both the engineering and design fronts.
Allyson graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2021 with a degree in Systems Design Engineering. Since then, she has been working full-time as a software and hardware engineer on a range of platforms, including iOS/Android, IoT, and the web. Her diverse experiences have sparked a passion for creating platform-agnostic software that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
In her free time Allyson enjoys snowboarding and hiking, but her most time-consuming hobby is piloting planes. She holds a Private Pilot License (PPL) and ratings for night and over-the-top (OTT) flying. She has found great success using Squint to document procedures for her plane (based at CYTZ in Toronto, Canada) and leave notes and tips for other pilots who may fly it. Check out the video below to see a walkaround of her plane using Squint!
